It is initially very difficult to attract traffic to your blog. To publicise it you should try submitting your material to more popular blogs. I'm planning on adding links on this page to sites and other blogs where you can try to publish your work. If you know of any such site please leave their link in a comment.
1) Pen 10 Scribes

This was the first blog where I submitted one of my stories. The only restriction is that your story should consist of a maximum of 10 sentences. They publish an anthology from time to time and any work of yours that is selected is published in it.
I submitted one story here and I'm glad to say it was accepted. I got a reply within 24 hours.
2) Flash Fiction Friday

You can submit your twitter-fiction here (maximum 135 characters). At the moment all stories need to be self-contained.
I still can't write something short enough to be submitted here. Although I have progressed (or regressed, depending on how you look at it) from attempting to write a fantasy series to writing flash fiction.
3) Every Day Fiction

They publish stories ranging in length from 50 words up to a 1000. They pay you $3 for any selected story and a further $1 if they publish it in their anthology. You cannot submit something you have already posted in your blog.
